WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team returns to Hermann Court one more time this season on Saturday as The University of Mount Union and Mount St. Joseph come to Fred Raizk Arena for a tri-match.

The Schedule: Wilmington will face Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) match at noon and Mount. St. Joseph at 4 p.m. The Purple Raiders and Lions will play a neutral site match in between at 2 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington, Mount Union and Mount St. Joseph (MSJ). The Fightin' Quakers enter the tri-match with an 8-16 overall record and 1-5 OAC match after taking regionally-ranked Ohio Northern University the distance in a five-set defeat on the road on Wednesday evening. The Purple Raiders, who recently swept Muskingum University at home on Wednesday, are 17-8 overall and 4-2 in conference matches while the Lions are 18-4 and a perfect 6-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (OAC) matches.

The Coaches: A new era of Wilmington volleyball has arrived Sophie Windover, a former collegiate player and assistant at Heidelberg University, enters her second season leading the program. She helped guide the Student Princes to a 21-8 record and an appearance in the AVCA Top 25 Poll. Melissa Mahnke-Morrison, a 2010 Mount Union alumna, is in her eighth season as the Purple Raiders' head coach. The two-time All-American has a record of 144-73 to date. John Spinney is in his third season as MSJ's head coach. 

The Players: Sofia Thomas leads the Wilmington offense with 2.50 kills per set while a trio of Qukaers - Sydney Geibel, Joy Bebe and Sarah Brown - all put down over 1.50 kills per set. Bebe and Bailey Pohlman combine for 1.34 blocks per set while setter Andie Dolven assists on 7.70 kills per set. Libero Blake O'Brien averages 6.20 digs per set to lead the OAC in the category. Mount Union featured a balanced offensive attack as four Purple Raiders - Maria Ellsin, Heaven Bartell, Darby Leininger and Sydney Mercer - all put down over two kills per set. For MSJ, the setter duo of Sam Buschur and Chloe Burton combine to assist on nearly 10 kills per set. 

Digs Per Set Nationally: Libero Blake O'Brien is fourth in NCAA Division III in digs per set.
