No. 20 Otterbein Hits Way Past Volleyball

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Otterbein University rode its offense, hitting a .306 clip to defeat the Wilmington College volleyball team 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) match at Hermann Court on Wednesday evening.

The Cardinals, who checked in at No. 20 in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll, tallied 44 kills and committed 11 errors in the match. Setter Carlie Craycraft dished out over a dozen assists per set and leaded on the duo of Morgan Hartman and Amber Greeley, setting the pair of Cardinals 49 times. Hartman finished with 13 kills and a .333 attack percentage while Greeley hit a .409 clip with 11 kills. Libero Amanda Troyer had a team-best 16 digs. Aubrey Geis added eight kills and four block assists. 

The Quakers, who hit an even .100 for the match, were led by Sofia Thomas's eight kills. Setter Andie Dolven, who assisted on 21 of WC's 27 kills, got involved offensively as well with five kills and no errors on 10 attempts for a .500 attack percentage. Libero Blake O'Brien, the nation's leader in digs per set, had 13 on the night while Joy Bebe had two blocks. 

Wilmington (8-14, 1-3 OAC) has a quick turnaround as it hosts Marietta College for a 7 p.m. match on Friday evening.
