Volleyball Swept by Muskingum

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Muskingum University lived up to its No. 19 national ranking in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll as the Fighting Muskies swept the Wilmington College volleyball team 25-9, 25-9, 25-16 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action on Tuesday evening.

Muskingum hit a .341 clip for the match including a blistering .619 attack percentage (13 kills and zero errors on 21 attempts) in set two. Wilmington, which tallied more errors than kills in set one, finished with 20 kills and 20 errors for a .000 attack percentage.

Maddie McGee led the Muskies with nine kills whie Emma Conrad, who had a .857 attack percentage, and Alexis Hall both both had six kills. Conrad had 22 assists while Jessica Cottle had 13 digs. Hall also aided the defensive effort with three blocks.

Mariella Szrom had seven kills for Wilmington while Jillian Wesco had five and Taylor McCuistion added four. Summer Wilbur dished out 18 assists while Karley Schlensker added 13 digs.

Wilmington (3-17, 0-2 OAC) heads to the University of Mount Union on Saturday.
