Volleyball Facing UC Clermont on the Road on Tuesday

SERIES HISTORY

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team takes a three-match winning streak to the University of Cincinnati Clermont College (UC Clermont) for a 7 p.m. match on Tuesday evening.

The Teams: Wilmington and UC Clermont. The Fightin' Quakers are 4-12 overall on the season, but have won their last three matches including a five-set triumph over St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and a straight-set victory against Boyce College on Saturday. The Cougars are 9-5 overall despite dropping matches to Carlow University and West Virginia State University on Saturday.

The Coaches: Tim O'Brien enters his fourth year as Wilmington's head volleyball coach. He has improved the Quakers' wins total each of his first three seasons and is looking to break through in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) this season. A 2012 graduate of Siena Heights University, O'Brien was a four-year letter-winner for the Saints' men's volleyball, team and ranks in seven career and seasonal program records. Josh Hamer is UC Clermont's head coach.

The Players: Offensively, Jillian Wesco is the lone Quaker to record over 100 kills as she stands at 111 kills for an average of 1.91 per set. Taylor McCuistion and Mariella Szrom have both tallied over 70 kills for Wilmington while Karrah Wind and Amber Rox both average over one kill per set. Jacie Koontz, Grace Ewing and Summer Wilbur all overage over 2.50 assists per set while Karley Schlensker and Wesco lead the back row with over 200 digs each. Statistics for UC Clermont were not available.
