SERIES HISTORY

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team hosts Central State University in a non-conference contest at Hermann Court on Thursday evening. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Central State. The Fightin' Quakers are 1-12 overall after falling to Bluffton University 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-8) on Wednesday. The Marauders are 2-8 on the season after finishing their Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Round-Up with a 1-4 record.

The Coaches: Tim O'Brien enters his fourth year as Wilmington's head volleyball coach. He has improved the Quakers' wins total each of his first three seasons and is looking to break through in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) this season. A 2012 graduate of Siena Heights University, O'Brien was a four-year letter-winner for the Saints' men's volleyball, team and ranks in seven career and seasonal program records. Danielle Benson-Robinson is in her first season as head volleyball coach at Central State.

The Players: Offensively, Jillian Wesco leads Wilmington with 93 kills and just under two kills per set. Mariella Szrom and Karrah Wind both have over 50 kills while Jacie Koontz has dished out 130 assists for an average of 3.42 per set. Defensively, Karley Schlensker and Wesco have both recorded over 160 digs per set. Deja Clark leads the Marauders with 66 kills on the season while Akaila Howard averages 4.57 assists per set.
