The Wilmington College volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-12, 25-11, 25-21) to Heidelberg in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Fred Raizk Arena in Hermann Court.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Kennedy Harshaw (Xenia, OH/Xenia) had a career-high four service aces, all in the third set, and all during a 6-0 run that gave WC a 10-9 lead.
- Heidelberg scored eight of the last 12 points to seal the match victory.
- Wilmington hit .344 in the third set with 13 kills on 32 attempts and just two errors.
- Senior Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) distributed 20 assists to reach the plateau for the ninth time this season. She added a team-high 10 digs, four kills and a block solo.
- Harshaw finished with a team-high seven kills on 28 attempts and three errors, while senior Catlin Pauley (Kenton, OH/Riverdale) and freshman Rheanna McClain (Columbus, OH/Hamilton Township) added six kills each.
Wilmington finishes the season 0-25 overall, 0-9 OAC.
