Volleyball earns split at OWU

Miller named All-Tournament team 

DELAWARE, OH – Senior Ashley Miller was named to the Bishop Invitational All-Tournament team after helping the Wilmington College volleyball team earn a split Saturday on the second day of the annual event.

Wilmington swept the Earlham Quakers, 25-16, 26-24, 25-21, and fell to Grove City, 25-10, 25-16, 25-16.

Miller (Arcanum, OH/Franklin Monroe) finished with a team-high 10 kills on 19 attempts with three digs, three solo blocks and three block assists to lead Wilmington. Junior Tabby Biegler (Columbus, OH/Briggs) added seven kills on 16 attempts with 12 digs.

Junior Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) had 12 assists, while sophomore Noel Cain (Dayton, OH/Archbishop Carroll) added nine assists. Junior Emily Oberschlake (West College Corner, IN/Union County) led the team with 25 digs.

In the loss to Grove City, freshman Hannah Kockentiet (Alpha, OH/Dayton Christian) led the team with five kills on 11 attempts. Biegler added 17 digs, while Oberschlake finished with 10 digs.

Wilmington (1-2) travels to Earlham 7 p.m. Wednesday in non-conference action.
