Volleyball drops straight-set match

NEW CONCORD, OH – The Wilmington College volleyball team returned to Ohio Athletic Conference action Saturday, falling to Muskingum, 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-18).

Wilmington falls to 6-12 overall, and 0-2 in the OAC, while Muskingum improves to 11-10 overall, 1-2 OAC. The Quakers will step away from league competition 7 p.m. Friday when they travel to Earlham College, and will face Mount Union 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Senior Anne Keenan (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek) tallied a third of Wilmington's kills leading the Fightin' Quakers with six of the team's 18 kills. Freshman Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) recorded 17 assists for Wilmington.

Sophomore Ashley Miller (Arcanum, OH/Franklin Monroe) and sophomore Madi Ray (Loveland, OH/Loveland) had eight digs each.
