Women's Track & Field Seventh at Joe Banks Invitational

RESULTS

ADA, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's track and field team finished in seventh place out of 14 teams at the Joe Banks Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University on Saturday.

Overall, the Fightin' Quakers had 10 performances that scored points. In field events, Kayli Sullivan placed in two events including a sixth-place finish in the weight throw, hurling 45' 7", and a seventh-place finish in the shot put, throwing 35' 6 ¾". Madison Dietz rounded out Wilmington's placers in field events, leaping 28' 3" to take seventh in the triple jump.

In track events, Emma Burke was the lone individual to place in two events. The senior finished sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:06.07) and took eighth in the 50-meter hurdles (9.97 seconds). Cheyenne Rhodes joined Burke in earning points in middle distance as her time of 1:27.13 earned a seventh-place finish in the 500-meter run. The distance crew was highlighted by Sydney Yontz crossing the finish line in 3:17.65 to place fifth in the 1,000-meter run while Milena Wahl's time of 19:14.23 placed her sixth in the 5,000-meter run.

Two Wilmington relays also scored. The distance medley relay squad of Katie Hughes, Sidney Fields, Yontz and Wahl crossed the finish in in third with a time of 13:52.07 while the 4-x-400-meter relay team of Burke, Rhodes, Fields and Miranda Gibson earned a fifth-place finish by turning in a time of 4:22.13.

The Quakers return to action on Friday at the Cedarville Indoor Invitational.
