Women's Track & Field To Compete in Indoor All-Ohio Meet Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track and field team will compete at the Indoor All-Ohio Meet hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.

The Teams: All NCAA Division III institutions located in the state of Ohio are scheduled to compete in the meet.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 19th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Emma Burke will be competing in the 60 meter hurdles and is seeded in 14th place with a time of 9.69 seconds. The Fightin' Quakers distance medley relay team of Katie Hughes, Amber LaRotonda, Brooke Gibbons and Allison Helmke is seeded 12th with a time of 13:55.78. Burke, Cheyenne Rhoads, Miranda Gibson and Sidney Fields make up the Quaker 4x200 meter relay team which is seeded 12th at a time of 1:55.90. Burke, Rhoads, Gibson and Fields also make up the 4x400 meter relay team and are seeded 11th at 4:25.15.
