AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Wilmington College women's track & field senior Lauren Stacy has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Mount St. Joseph (MSJ) University Invitational on Saturday.
Stacy swept the three throwing events - shot put, discus and hammer throw - at MSJ including breaking her own school record in the hammer throw with a heave of 50.34 meters (165' 2"). She posted marks of 12.67 meters (41. 7") in the shot put in and 43.61 meters (143' 1") in the discus.
As a team, the Fightin' Quakers finished runner-up in the event.
Wilmington heads to the OAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University (ONU) this weekend.
