Women's Track and Field Heads to Indoor All-Ohio

WILMINGTON, Ohio- The Wilmington College women's indoor track and field team will travel to Otterbein University to compete in the Indoor All-Ohio Track and Field Championship Meet on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) host Otterbein University and other collegiate teams from Ohio.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 17th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

WC Student-Athletes to Watch: Coming off a successful weekend is thrower Lauren Stacy. Stacy will hope to find herself in first-place, as has become habitual for the season, in both the weight throw and the shot put. Emma Burke also found success at last weekend's meet and will look to keep that momentum in the 60-meter hurdles. Lisa Bailey and Ryan Allen have proved themselves invaluable assets in the field events. Bailey in the long jump and Allen in the pole vault.
