  • Changes announced for the athletic department

    The Wilmington College athletic department has announced departmental changes effective for the 2017-18 school year.

    May 18, 2017
    DELAWARE- Several members of the Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the Great Lakes Elite Meet hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Thursday. This was a non-scored meet, in which participants were attempting to better their national standing in hopes of being able to qualify for the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

    HILLSDALE, Michigan- A few members of the Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Hillsdale College Friday to compete in an unscored Last Chance Meet in hopes of bettering their national rankings to help their chances at qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet.

    NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College women’s outdoor track and field team completed the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet, hosted by Muskingum University, on Saturday. Going into the final day of competition, the Fightin’ Quakers were seeded tenth, with six points. At the end of the day and final point tallies, WC took eighth-place with 30 points.

    NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College women’s outdoor track and field team opened the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet Friday. At the conclusion of the day’s scored events, the women sit in tenth-place with six points.

    WESTERVILLE- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in their last meet before the championship season, the Twilight Invitational hosted by Otterbein University on Friday evening. Out of the twelve competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished sixth with 69 points.
  • Both @DubC_XCTR teams 14th at All-Ohio Championship

    DELAWARE- The Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the All-Ohio Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday. Both teams finished the championship in 14th place- the women with 14 points and the men with 20 points.

    NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in an invitational hosted by Muskingum University on Saturday. Of the eight competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished fourth with 102 points, only three points behind the third-place team.

    HANOVER, Indiana- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed at an invitational hosted by Hanover College Saturday. Of the sixteen competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished seventh with 33 points.
  • Stacy shines in first outdoor meet

    LEXINGTON, Kentucky- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team opened the outdoor portion of their season Saturday at the Transylvania Invitational. Of the 10 competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished fifth, with a total of 104 points.
  • @DubC_XCTR competes at final team meet of indoor season

    ADA- The Wilmington College Men’s and Women’s track and field teams travelled to Ohio Northern University Friday and Saturday to compete in a Last Chance Meet. The meet was non-scored, allowing the participants a chance to better their national standing, in an attempt to be chosen for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championship next week. Only four Fightin’ Quakers travelled to the meet, juniors Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown), Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond), Kalvin Butts (St. John’s, MI/St. John’s), and Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs). Of the four, only Truss posted a finish that broke into the NCAA DIII top-ten in his respective event. Because of this, he will likely be the only Fightin’ Quaker to qualify for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championship.

    BEREA- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday. The event, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University, started on Friday with several field event finals, as well as many running event prelims. Saturday saw the finals of all of Friday’s preliminary events, as well as the finals of all events that were not contested on Friday. The Fightin’ Quakers, who came into day two with only eight points, finished the meet in eighth, with a total of 20 points.
  • Stacy sets pace on day one OAC Championships

    BEREA- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in the first of two days of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship on Friday. The event, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University will end Saturday, with the finals of today’s prelim events, as well as the finals of events that have yet to be contested. Of today’s contested events, all field events were final attempts, while all running events, except the 3000-meter run and the Distance Medley Relay, were preliminary attempts. At the conclusion of day one’s events, the Fightin’ Quakers are seventh, with eight points.
  • Stacy leads WC at Mount Union Invite

    ALLIANCE- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in a Last Chance Meet hosted by the University of Mount Union Saturday. This was a non-scored meet, allowing student-athletes the opportunity for one last attempt at their events before Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
  • Truss leads @DubC_XCTR teams at Indoor All-Ohio

    WESTERVILLE- Eight members of the Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the Indoor All-Ohio Championship hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday. The Fightin’ Quakers finished 16th on the women’s side and ninth on the men’s.

    Wilmington College junior Lauren Stacy has been named Ohio Athletic Conference women’s field athlete of the week, the league announced today (January 30, 2017).

    CEDARVILLE- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in an invitational at Cedarville University on Friday. Of the six competing teams, Wilmington finished fourth with 72 points.
  • @DubC_XCTR women improve at OAC Split
    January 20, 2017
    MARIETTA- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team traveled to Marietta, Friday, to compete in the OAC South Split Meet. Five of the ten OAC teams competed in this meet: Otterbein University, Capital University, Muskingum University, Marietta College, and the Fightin’ Quakers. Of these five teams, Wilmington finished fourth with 61 points.

    DELAWARE- The Wilmington College women’s track and field team competed in a nine-team invitational at Otterbein University on Saturday. High finishes from several athletes helped the Fightin’ Quakers to capture sixth place with 42 points.
  • Stacy, Burnam represent WC at Oiler Opener

    FINDLAY- Juniors Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown) and Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) of the Wilmington College women's and men's track and field teams competed against a number of Division II and III schools at the Oiler Opener on Friday and Saturday. Over the course of the meet, Burnam set two new school records, while Stacy achieved a personal best that earned her a spot in the national Division III rankings for the season.

    The Wilmington College women’s track and field team opened the indoor portion of their season Saturday at the Tiffin Alumni Open. This unscored meet allowed the opportunity for the Fightin’ Quakers to compete against various NCAA Division II schools, unattached athletes, as well as fellow OAC schools.
