Women's Swimming Hosts Hiram in Dual Meet Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's swimming team hosts Hiram College in a dual meet at the Wilmington Natatorium on Saturday. The first event is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Hiram. The Fightin' Quakers most recently split a double dual meet has weekend, defeating Transylvania University and narrowly falling to Wittenberg University. The Terriers most recently finished third out of four teams in a meeting with the College of Wooster, Thomas More College and Notre Dame College.

The Coaches: Trip Breen is in his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season.

Who to Watch: Wilmington's 200-meter freestyle relay team of Margaret HoverMaryn HerringHannah Davis and Macki Leon won the event with a time of 2:00.05, beating the runner-up team from Transylvania by over four seconds at the double dual meet last weekend.. Leon also won the 100-meter backstroke (1:12.73) as well as runner-up finishes in both the 200-meter backstroke (2:39.64) and the 200-meter IM (2:41.68). Hover claimed the title in the 200-meter freestyle (2:24.38).
