Women's Swimming Hosts Baldwin Wallace in Relay for Life Dual Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's swimming team opens its 2018-19 season with a dual meeting against Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) member Baldwin Wallace University at noon on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace (BW). This is the first meet of the season for the Fightin' Quakers while the Yellow Jackets swam at an unscored meet hosted by Cleveland State University on Sept. 28. Wilmington finished just behind BW at the OAC Championships last season.

The Coaches: Trip Breen enters his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recent in the 2016-17 season. Laura Demaline is in her eighth season as BW's head men's and women's swimming coach.

Who to Watch: Macki Leon was member of several Fightin' Quaker relay teams at the OAC Championships last season including placing in the top eight in consolation in both freestyle and backstroke events. Alyssa Rogers was also a member of several Wilmington relay squads as well as finishing in the top eight of the consolation finals of freestyle and breaststroke events.

Relay for Life: Both teams will be wearing pink to raise awareness for Relay for Life, a significant fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
