WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's swimming team heads to the Ocasek Natatorium at the University of Akron on Thursday to begin the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship meet.

The meet will follow the typical championship format with preliminary heats going off at 10 a.m. each day and final heats starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, 6 p.m. on Friday, and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.

In last year's event, the Fightin' Quakers finished sixth and will hope to improve their place of finish this year.

In the lineup, Samantha Glish sits among the top-five seeds in the 50-yard freestyle (25.15), as well as the top-ten times in the 100-yard freestyle (56.08).

Macki Leon should also play a big role in the meet. She's got the tenth fastest time in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.03), the fourteenth fastest time in the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.00), and the fifteenth fastest time in the 200-yard backstroke (2:22.72).

Also looking to make an impact are Hannah Davis who is seeded thirteenth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:42.37); Margaret Hover who sits fourteenth in the 1650-yard freestyle (12:22.61, 1000-yard time); Rachel O'Donnell who is fifteenth in the 1650-yard freestyle (12:36.01, 1000-yard time); and Alyssa Rogers who is ranked fourteenth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:49.98) and fifteenth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.18).
