Women's Swimming Hosts Final Home Meet of Season

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's swimming team will celebrate their senior swimmers and host fellow Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC)  member John Carroll University in their last meet before championship season on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll. This is the first meeting between these teams since their dual meet and OAC Championships last year. In both instances, John Carroll came out substantially ahead of the Fightin' Quakers.

The Coaches: Trip Breen enters his 19th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named OAC Women's Coach of the Year two times. Mark Fino enters his fifth season as the head coach of the men's and women's swimming and diving program at John Carroll.

Who to Watch: Samantha Glish dominates the sprint events for the Quakers while Macki Leon holds down the middle-distance and individual medley events. Alyssa Rogers will look to find success in the breaststroke events. Rachel O'Donnell, who has been dropping time every time she dives into the pool, will compete in the distance events for the team. John Carroll will swim 30 swimmers to WC's 17 including stroke specialists Carly Adams, Gwyn Ledrick, and Victoria Vale.
