WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team will host Heidelberg in its Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular season finale Saturday in Williams Stadium at 7:00 p.m. A small ceremony honoring the seniors of the women's soccer team will be held immediately before the match begins.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Wilmington (9-8-0, 3-5-0) offense has been prolific in the last four games scoring 13 goals during that span as the team has gone 3-1. Heidelberg (6-8-2, 2-6-0) has struggled to find its footing this season with just two wins in OAC play.

The Coaches: Wilmington is led by first-year Head Coach Cory Bucur, who came to WC from Defiance College. Bucur led the Yellow Jackets to their best season in over a decade in the fall of 2021 as DC went 11-11-1, upset Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament before coming a penalty shootout victory away from appearing in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. Madalynn McLaughlin is in her first year as head coach of Heidelberg, after being promoted mid-season in '21. This is her third year on staff.

The Players: Freshman Alex Wilson has been on a tear with five goals in the past two matches and 11 goals overall. Elizabeth Matthews, Maddie Scott, Ema Mengess and Jenna Victor each scored in the 6-1 victory over Muskingum. Goalkeeper Heidi Toner started her first game in goal for Wilmington and recorded her first career victory. Audrey Kaufman leads the Student Prince attack with six goals and seven assists. Madi Lause has five goals for Heidelberg this season.

Senior Night: This game marks the final regular season home game for five seniors - Rileigh Lefever, Lauren Galloway, Maddy Scott, Jenna Victor and Heidi Edens. A brief ceremony will be held prior to the game.
