Spirk celebrates 300!
The Wilmington College women's soccer team claimed a win in OAC action against Muskingum University Tuesday evening. The 1-0 shut-out not only marked the team's second OAC win this season, but coach Steve Spirk's 300th career win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sophomore Alex Vestal (Orlando, FL/Lake Nona) recorded the Fightin' Quakers' lone goal this evening. Her goal was unassisted in the 53rd minute.
  • All but four Fightn' Quaker field players were able to find and take shots throughout the course of the game. In total, the Fightin' Quakers had 29 shots, 15 of which were on goal. WC dominated the field, only allowing Muskingum two shots over the course of the 90-minute contest.
  • Vestal led the way with six shots, two of which were on frame, and one goal.
  • Junior Hannah Greaney (Dayton, OH/Carroll) followed close behind in numbers with six shots, five of which were on goal. Senior Ashley Lovett (Washington Court House, OH/Washington Senior) also had a high number of shots-on-goal, as all three of her shots were on frame.
  • Senior goalkeeper Ana Hosler (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) added one save to her resume in tonight's game.
