The Wilmington College women's soccer team held the advantage in shots, 17-5, but couldn't find the back of the net, and had to settle for a scoreless non-conference draw with Anderson Saturday on Townsend Field in Williams Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After making three saves in the first half, Wilmington goalkeepers faced one shot for the final 65 minutes. Senior Ana Hosler (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) finished with three saves in 45 minutes of action, while sophomore Leda Moyer (Clarksville, OH/Clinton-Massie) had one save in 65 minutes.
- Conversely, the Wilmington offense – after not having a single shot on goal in the first half – recorded four in the second half and two in each overtime.
- Senior Ashley Lovett (Washington Court House, OH/Senior) and junior Taylor Leake (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek) combined for six of the team's eight shots on goal.
