@DubC_WSoccer loses to BW

BEREA – The Wilmington College women's soccer team dropped consecutive games for the first time this season, falling to Baldwin Wallace, 5-1, Friday in Ohio Athletic Conference action at George Finnie Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early lead, scoring in the game's 12th minute, and then doubled their lead in the 24th minute.

Senior Erika Good (Miamisburg, OH/Miamisburg) brought Wilmington to within one with a goal in the 41st minute. It was her second goal of the season. Junior Stephanie Randolph (Monroe, OH/Monroe) recorded her third assist of the season.

The Fightin' Quakers trailed by just one heading into the break.

Baldwin Wallace tallied a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to give itself some breathing room. BW tacked on another insurance goal in the 71st minute.

Junior Ana Hosler (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) recorded three saves on five shots in the first half, while freshman Leda Moyer (Martinsville, OH/Clinton Massie) had four saves on seven shots in the second half.

Wilmington (5-3-3, 0-2-1 OAC) will host Otterbein 7 p.m. Wednesday in Ohio Athletic Conference action.
