Wrestling to Face Three OAC Opponents in Alliance on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team returns to Northeast Ohio for the second consecutive weekend as the University of Mount Union hosts the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) duals on Saturday. 

The Schedule: The Quakers will face off with the host Purple Raiders at 10 a.m. followed by Heidelberg University at noon. Finally, Wilmington will round out the day with a dual against Otterbein University at 2 p.m.

The Coaches: Chris Basford enters his first year as WC's head wrestling coach in 2022-23. Basford has experience coaching at multiple institutions including Limestone College (South Carolina), Maryville Univerity (St. Louis) and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Most recently, he led Limestone to a 10-4 mark as interim coach in 2021-22. Ryan Riggs is in his second season as Mount Union's head coach while Tony Patrizi has been Heidelberg's head coach for the last eight seasons. Brent Rastetter is in his seventh season at Otterbein having restarted the program in October of 2015.
