PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Wilmington College wrestling team sent four individuals to the Storm Open hosted by Lake Erie College on Sunday.
The meet featured individual matches only and no team scores.
In the 174-pound weight class, Adrian Salamone was pinned by Hayden Flynn in exactly two minutes in the opening round. In the consolation bracket, Salamone lost to Rodney Winston of Notre Dame College via fall in 4:20.
In the 197-pound weight class, Bradyn Smith lost is opening match to Joey Lyons of Cleveland State University via pin in 47 seconds. Smith then was defeated by Brett Wittmann of Clarion University via fall in 2:02.
In the 285-pound weight class, Mo Sissoko fell to Tyler Cobb via fall in 1:08. After a bye in the first round of consolation, Ty Petrey of Ashland University pinned Sissoko in 6:56.
Wilmington returns to action for a dual at Defiance College on Thursday, Dec. 8.
