New Year Starts in New Philly as Wrestling Heads to Golden Eagles Duals

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Fightin' Quakers' will start the new year in New Philadelphia, Ohio.  Competing in the Golden Eagles Duals at Clayton High School, this Sunday, January 12th, 2020.  

The Teams: Wilmington College is one of 14 institutions competing this weekend. They will be taking on Rochester College, Otterbein University, Kent State Tuscarawas, Henry Ford College, Mercyhurst Northeast, and Ancilla College.


Round 2: Rochester College

Round 3: Otterbein University

Round 4: Kent State Tuscarawas

Round 5: Henry Ford College

Round 6: Mercyhurst Northeast

Round 7: Ancilla College

The Coach: Justin Kihn is in his second season as Wilmington's head wrestling coach. A 2016 graduate of Heidelberg, Kihn finished fourth nationally in the 141-pound weight class and earned All-American honors as a senior. Kihn is currently 0-2 in the OAC and placed 13th in their last tournament.  

The Players: Wilmington will be sending nine individuals to wrestle in eight different weight classes -  CJ Fox (133-pound), Adrian Salamone (141-pound), Clayton Schirmer (157-pound), Patrick Kelley (157-pound), Brennen Greene (165-pount), Spencer Dukes (174-pound) , Bruno Pattison (197-pound), Seth Jermer (285-pound).
