WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team opens the New Year at the Waynesburg Invitational hosted by Waynesburg University (Pennsylvania) on Jan. 5.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) members the University of Mount Union and Muskingum University along with several other NCAA Division III institutions – Alfred State University, Case Western Reserve University, Gettysburg College, Lycoming University, Mount St. Joseph University, Ohio Wesleyan University, the University of Pittsburg-Bradford, Thomas More College, Trinity University (Connecticut), Washington & Jefferson College and host Waynesburg.

The Coach: Justin Kihn enters his first season as Wilmington's head wrestling coach. A 2016 graduate of Heidelberg, Kihn finished fourth nationally in the 141-pound weight class and earned All-American honors as a senior.

The Players: Three Quakers will compete in the invitational. Brady Wilson will wrestle in the 157-pound weight class, Ethan Cyrette will compete in the 174-pound weight class and Seth Jermer in the 285-pound weight class.
