Wrestling Opens Season at Adrian Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team returns to the mats for the first time since 2012 on Saturday when the Fightin' Quakers travel to Adrian College (Michigan) for the Adrian Open.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Adrian along with Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) members Heidelberg University, John Carroll University and the University of Mount Union. Other NCAA Division III institutions that are schedule to compete include: Defiance College, Ohio Wesleyan University and Wabash College.

The Coach: Justin Kihn enters his first season as Wilmington's head wrestling coach. A 2016 graduate of Heidelberg, Kihn finished fourth nationally in the 141-pound weight class and earned All-American honors as a senior.

The Players: The Quakers will have five individuals - Gabe Obregon (133 pounds), Brady Wilson (157 pounds), Sean Drew (165 pounds), Issa Khalil (197 pounds) and Seth Jermer (285 pounds) competiting in various weight classes in the open.
