Women's Lacrosse Heads to Heidelberg on Friday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's lacrosse team continues Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Friday when the Fightin' Quakers travel to Heidelberg University for a 6 p.m. contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Quakers stand at 2-10 overall and are in search of their first OAC victory after a 2-22 loss at the hands of Otterbein University on Wednesday. The Student Princes are 5-6 overall and 1-3 in the OAC after a 12-7 loss to Ohio Northern University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Taylor Martin is at the helm of Wilmington College in her first season. Martin spent her last two years as a graduate assistant at Castleton University where she received her master's degree in Athletic Leadership. Prior to her time at Castleton, Martin was the director of Lacrosse and Head Coach at a boarding school north of London. Matt Palm, Heidelberg's director of athletics, and Ashley Travis are co-coaching the Student Princes this season.

The Players: Becca Petra and Rachel Reinhart have led Wilmington offensively as both have crossed the double-digit plateau in goals scored. Petra, who has netted 16 goals during her senior campaign, leads the Quakers in assists (six) and points (22). Abby Engelhart has a team-high 32 ground balls and 26 draw controls. Four Student Princes have scored at least 15 goals including Angela Lulejian's 28 goals and Anna Winnicki's 20 goals and nine assists.

Last Time Around: Wilmington defeated Heidelberg 18-13 at home on April 14, 2017.
