Three score in @WCWLax loss to MSJ

The Wilmington College women's lacrosse team was shut out in the second half, and fell to Mount St. Joseph Wednesday, 14-3, in non-conference action on Townsend Field at Williams Stadium.

"We forced a lot of turnovers in our defensive end and made great passes in the midfield," said Wilmington head coach Brett Yenger. "We are trying to push through some injuries on attack so we are a little timid on driving to goal at the moment. But, the looks and energy are there. We just need to combine our efforts and win some more draws to come out with the win."

Three different Wilmington players scored for the Fightin' Quakers, who played without leading scorer Jenni Caporale (Louisville, KY/Ballard).

Junior Rachel Routzong (Urbana, OH/Urbana), sophomore Kiki Hall (Westerville, OH/Central) and sophomore Nikki Northern (Dayton, OH/Chaminade Julienne) all scored in the game. Junior Stephanie Belz (Gahanna, OH/Lincoln) dished out an assist.

Freshman Megan Wieloch (Canton, MI/Plymouth) finished with 18 saves, while allowing 14 goals.

Wilmington (2-11 overall) returns to action 1 p.m. Saturday, traveling to Muskingum in Ohio Athletic Conference action.
