The Wilmington College women's lacrosse faced another tough challenge, falling to Otterbein, 20-2, Wednesday at Townsend Field in Williams Stadium.
Otterbein scored 12 goals in the first half and eight in the second to record the victory.
Senior Sammy Koerner (Fairfield, OH/ Hamilton Badin) put the Fightin' Quakers on the board with a free position shot with three minutes left in the first half.
After four goals by the Cardinals, freshman Kiki Hall (Westerville, OH/ Central) scored for Wilmington with an unassisted goal after Rachel Gutowski (Petoskey, MI/ Petoskey) cleared the ball from draw control.
Gutowski finished with a team-high eight draw controls, two groundball pickups and two caused turnovers. Sophomore Abby Jude (Lancaster, OH/Fairfield Union) added two groundball pickups.
Wilmington committed 21 turnovers and was 12-20 in clear attempts.
Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Bennett (Newport, OH/ Frontier) fell to 0-7 on the season, making 10 saves. Sophomore Emily Phipps (Heath, OH/Heath) made three saves.
Wilmington (0-13 overall, 0-4 OAC) concludes the season 6 p.m. Friday with a home game against Georgetown (KY).
