Women's Basketball Travels to Otterbein Wednesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team continues a road swing as the Quakers travel to Otterbein University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Wednesday evening. Tip-off from the Rike Center is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Quakers are 10-9 overall and 5-7 in conference play after a come-from-behind 67-56 win in overtime at Heidelberg University on Saturday. The Cardinals are 12-7 on the season and 7-4 in the OAC. Otterbein is also coming off a close road win having defeated Capital University 72-61 on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 29th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, recently won his 500th career game. Wilmington has claimed seven regular season conference championships under his guidance. Connie Richardson, a graduate of OAC member Heidelberg University, is in her 28th season leading the Cardinals' program.

The Players: McKayla Binkley, who led all scorers with 21 points in Wilmington's win at Heidelberg, leads the Quakers in scoring at 13.7 points per game while also being second in rebounding at 4.9 boards per contest. Kennedy Lewis, second in the OAC in assists per game (4.0), scores 11.4 points per contest while Kelly Noll, the OAC's leader in three-point percentage (50.0), averages 10.1 points per game. Faith Teaford leads the squad in rebounding at 7.3 rebounds per game. Otterbein features the top two scores in the conference in Dani Kissel (20.6 points per game) and Ali Cartnal (17.4 points per game).
