WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team opens the second half of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play against the University of Mount Union on Friday evening. Tip-off from Hermann Court is slated for 7 p.m. (note the date and time change).

The Teams: Wilmington and Mount Union. The Quakers are an even 8-8 on the season and finished the first half of OAC play at 3-6 after a 73-60 win at Muskingum University on Wednesday. The Purple Raiders are 13-3 overall and 6-3 in conference play after falling 67-62 to Marietta College on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 29th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, recently won his 500th career game. Wilmington has claimed seven regular season conference championships under his guidance. Suzy Venet, the former All-American at Mount Union is in her 14th season coaching her alma mater's women's basketball program.

The Players: A quartet of Quakers – McKayla Binkley, Kelly Noll, Kennedy Lewis and Mackenzie Campbell – score between 10-13 points per game. Faith Teaford leads the rebounding efforts grabbing 7.6 boards per contest while Kennedy Lewis dishes out an OAC-best 4.4 assists per contest. Rachel Tinkey (15.5 points per game) and Tori Rappach (12.8 points per game) both score in double figures for the Purple Raiders. Sarah Hessel leads the Purple Raiders in rebounding at 6.8 boards per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 69.8, Mount Union 70.9; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 70.4, Mount Union 57.9; field goal percentage – Wilmington 41.7, Mount Union 40.9; three-point percentage – Wilmington 36.6, Mount Union 37.8; free throw percentage – Wilmington 72.9, Mount Union 71.5; rebounds per game – Wilmington 40.9, Mount Union 42.9; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.93, Mount Union 1.07.

Recent History: Wilmington is 29-15 against Mount Union since joining the OAC prior to the 2000-01 season.
