WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team continues Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Saturday when the Quakers host Marietta College for a 3 p.m. contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Marietta. The Quakers are 4-4 overall and in search of their first OAC victory after falling victim to the University of Mount Union 76-66 on Saturday. The Pioneers are 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in the OAC. Marietta most recently lost to No. 4 Thomas More College 81-75.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 29th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, recently won his 500th career game. Wilmington has claimed seven regular season conference championships under his guidance. Kole Vivian, who is in his third season as Marietta's head coach, led the Pioneers to their first ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance last season.

The Players: Wilmington features a balanced scoring attack as three Quakers – McKayla Binkley, Kennedy Lewis, and Faith Teaford – all average double figures in scoring while Kelly Noll, Hannah Binkley and Savannah Hooper all score between 7-9 points per game. Teaford nearly averages a double-double per game as the sophomore grabs nine rebounds per contest. Noll and McKayla Binkley both grab over four rebounds as well while Kennedy Lewis dishes out a team-high 4.3 assists per game. Marietta also has three individuals – Corrie Burkhardt, Shay Lett and Alexis Enochs – who score in double figures with Burkhardt leading the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game and rebounding at 7.6 boards per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 71.0, Marietta 70.9; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 68.6, Marietta 59.4; field goal percentage – Wilmington 41.8, Marietta 42.5; three-point percentage – Wilmington 38.0, Marietta 32.9; free throw percentage – Wilmington 71.6, Marietta 68.9; rebounds per game – Wilmington 42.1, Marietta 41.9; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 1.03, Marietta 0.90.

500 Victories: With Wilmington's 71-57 win at Earlham last month, Head Coach Jerry Scheve became the 32nd individual and 19th active coach in NCAA Division III Women's Basketball to cross the 500-win plateau.

Recent History: Wilmington is 31-6 against Marietta since joining the OAC prior to the 2000-01 season. The Pioneers have won the last three meetings, however. More information on the series history can be found by visiting the link above.
