WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team opens Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Saturday when Heidelberg University comes to Hermann Court for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Quakers stand at 4-1 on the season after defeating Earlham 71-57 in the Quaker Bowl rivalry on Wednesday evening. The Student Princes are 2-3 on the season after opening up conference play with a 74-64 loss to Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 29th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, recently won his 500th career game. Wilmington has claimed seven regular season conference championships under his guidance. Morgan Harrigan is in her sixth season as head coach of the Student Princes. The 2009 Heidelberg alumna has a career record of 46-85.

The Players: Wilmington features a balanced scoring attack as three Quakers – McKayla Binkley, Kennedy Lewis, and Faith Teaford – all average double figures in scoring while Hannah Binkley scored 9.2 points per contest. Kelly Noll, who scored all 17 of her points in the fourth quarter comeback win over North Central last weekend, and Savannah Hooper both score 8.8 points per contest. Teaford nearly averages a double-double per game as the sophomore grabs 9.4 rebounds per contest. Noll and McKayla Binkley both grab over four rebounds as well while Kennedy Lewis dishes out a team-high 4.2 assists per game. A trio of Student Princes – Alyssa Riley, Maddy Crawford and Brooke Beamer – all average double figures in scoring. Craword averages over a double-double per game with 10.6 rebounds a contest while Aianna Wilson dishes out 3.2 assists per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 73.0, Heidelberg 67.4; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 64.8, Heidelberg 75.2; field goal percentage – Wilmington 43.1, Heidelberg 36.7; three-point percentage – Wilmington 40.2, Heidelberg 31.3; free throw percentage – Wilmington 68.9, Heidelberg 73.4; rebounds per game – Wilmington 45.0, Heidelberg 41.4; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 1.07, Heidelberg 0.45.

500 Victories: With Wilmington's 71-57 win at Earlham on Wednesday, Head Coach Jerry Scheve became the 32nd individual and 19th active coach in NCAA Division III Women's Basketball to cross the 500-win plateau.
