WILMINGTON, Ohio - The No. 15-ranked Polar Bears of Ohio Northern University (ONU) held the Wilmington College women's basketball team to 32.1 percent shooting from the field in a 65-44 win over the Fightin' Quakers in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action on Wednesday evening.

ONU made the first two baskets of the game and held the lead until Savannah Hooper's layup with 53 seconds left in the first quarter tied the game 14-14. Emily Harman stole a Polar Bear pass on the next possession and her jumper off an assist from Maddie Snider gave Wilmington a 16-14 edge. Unfortunately for the Quakers, an Abby Weeks layup with a second to go in the first quarter tied the game 16-16.

Similar to the first quarter, the visitors scored 16 points, but held Wilmington to just five points as the hosts found themselves down 32-21 at halftime.

Ohio Northern scored the first eight points of the second half to take a 41-21 lead and force a timeout from Wilmington Head Coach Jerry Scheve. The Quakers responded well out of the timeout as a Harman four-point play cut ONU's lead to 43-33 with two minutes to play in the third quarter. The Polar Bears had the answer, however, as a 7-0 run to end the quarter put the game out of reach.

Harman finished with a double-double, 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Mackenzie Campbell added 10 points and eight rebounds while also recording three blocks.

Bullimore matched Harman for Ohio Northern with 13 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Wyss led all scorers with 14 points while Courtney Cramer had 10 points.

ONU shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the field compared to Wilmington's 32.1 percent (18-of-56). The Polar Bears held a slight 38-34 edge in rebounding.

The Quakers dip to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the OAC with the loss. Wilmington will travel to Heidelberg University for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday.
