Nov. 14 – Wilmington, Ohio- The Wilmington College women's basketball team will look to be very competitive during the 2017-2018 campaign.

Coach Jerry Scheve will be returning for his 25th season as the head women's basketball coach at Wilmington College.  Coming into this season, Coach Scheve will look to add to his win total as he has inches closer to the 500 win mark.

Wilmington will return 8 players and one starter to the floor, including junior guard, Mackenzie Campbell. Campbell a returning All-OAC First Team honoree posted a very successful season in her sophomore year at Wilmington. Campbell averaged a team high 15.9 points per game while shooting an outstanding 80.6% from the free throw line and 50.3% from the field.

The Quakers will lean on returning guard Mackenzie Campbell to lead the way with initiating the Quaker offense and being a great scorer of the basketball.  Last year Campbell led the way with averaging 15.9 points per game while also chipping in with 5.9 rebounds per game.

Along with the one returning starter, seniors Savannah Hooper, Emily Harmon and Ellie Kivell will be heavily relied on to be main contributors both off the bench and as potential starters. Hooper and Harmon combined for 14.5 points per game along with averaging 5.9 rebounds per game.  The duo also played in all 28 games along with starting in a handful of them as well.

The returning Quaker group also includes Kelly Knoll, Morgan Ritz, Miranda Groseclose, and A.J. Arling. Wilmington will also be adding 12 fresh faces this year.
