Campbell named OAC Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN – Wilmington College sophomore Mackenzie Campbell was named Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending December 4, the league announced today (Monday, December 5).

Campbell (Cincinnati, OH/Turpin) had a fantastic week helping the Fightin' Quakers to a 2-0 week. She averaged 24.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in the two games.

"Mackenzie had two great games for us last week," said Wilmington head coach Jerry Scheve. "She does a lot of everything for us on both ends of the court, and works very hard to deserve honors such as this."

Campbell finished with 25 points, including hitting all 10 of her free throws – both career highs, to lead WC to an OAC-opening win over Mount Union. She added a game-high eight boards in the game.

This marks the second time Campbell has won OAC Player of the Week in her career, and the first time this season a women's basketball player earned the weekly nod.
