Seven Softball Players Earn NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Honors

NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR ATHLETE LIST

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Seven members of the 2018 Wilmington College softball team earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association.

Student-athletes who achieve a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale earn All-American Scholar Athlete honors. The 2018 Wilmington softball team had seven individuals who achieved this honor – Sawyer Hooper, Savannah Hooper, Grace Shell, Alecia Kemp, Jillia Cook, Meranda Wilson and Megan Crager.

"I'm extremely proud of how hard these young ladies work in the classroom," Head Coach Beth Floyd said. "Their dedication, hard work and commitment are paying off."

Wilmington finished its 2018 season with a 13-21 overall record, the seventh time Floyd as led the Fightin' Quakers at least 10 wins in a season.
