Rosie Reds give to baseball, softball

The Wilmington College baseball and softball team were the proud recipients of a donation from the Rosie Reds organization.

Both teams received $3000 to go to their programs.

"It is truly was a great experience working with the Rosie Reds," said Wilmington College Associate Director of Athletics/Head Softball Coach Beth Floyd. "We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with the Rosie Reds and are grateful of their generosity."

Rosie (Rooters Organized to Stimulate Interest & Enthusiasm) Reds, Inc. is a philanthropic and social organization focused on supporting the Cincinnati Reds as well as the nine area colleges and Powell Crosley Jr. – Kids Glove Organization. The Rosie Reds were formed in 1964, when there was a concern the the National League franchise would move out of Cincinnati. Fifty-three years later, our membership and commitment to the baseball community continues to be strong.
