Men’s Cross Country Eighth at OAC Championships
TIFFIN- The Wilmington College men's cross country team competed at the Ohio AThletic Conference (OAC) Championship Meet hosted by Heidelberg University on Saturday morning. Of the nine competing OAC teams, the Fightin' Quakers finished solidly in eighth-place with 235-points. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The team was led by senior Hunter Stith (Batavia, OH/Batavia) who finished the 8K course in 27:30.2 to earn 52nd-place. 
  • Stith was backed by outstanding performances by freshman Gage Clemens (Fairmont, WV/Senior) and sophomore Cameron Phelps (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) who both ran huge lifetime bests. Clemens' 27:43.3 earned him 64th-place while Phelps clocked in with a 28:16.7 for 85th. 
  • Freshman Ryan Honkomp (Maineville, OH/Little Miami) crossed the finish line close behind, in 88th-place with a time of 28.20.7. 
  • Junior Gage Egner (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) was the last of the Fightin' Quakers to score in the meet. He was awarded 90th-place for a time of 28:22.2.
