In order to garner All-Region honors, individuals needed to be top five in their respective events in each region. Simon Heys, a national qualifier in the 10,000-meter run, garnered All-Region honors in that race as well as the 5,000-meter run while JJ Durr and Andrew Pacifico were named All-Region in the hammer throw.
A sport management major, Heys carries a 3.89 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and has been actively involved in some of the program's hands-on learning opportunities, working the College Football Playoff title game, the Super Bowl, the Flying Pig Marathon and others.
Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) at the end of the semester preceding the end of the spring season. The student-athlete must also be a member of a varsity team, in a sport sponsored by the league, as well as be enrolled in a full-time capacity.

The Wilmington College men's track & field team split up on Friday as five individuals competed at the Carius/Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central College and one runner to the St. Francis Last Chance Meet hosted by the University of St. Francis.

George Rickett claimed a fresh school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the Wilmington College men's track & field team after day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Championship meet on Thursday. The Fightin' Quakers finish day one in fourth place with 35 points, 12 behind third place Ohio Northern University.
Heys, the Wilmington High School alumnus, won the event by crossing the finish line in 14:19.55. Teammates George Rickett (15:06.07) and Noah Tobin (15:07.13) placed 10th and 11th respectively while Eric Reynolds (15:34.61) and Cohen Frost (15:46.10) also ran the 5,000-meter run, placing 27th and 33rd respectively.
The Kiwanis Club of Wilmington honored several Wilmington College fall student-athletes as Athletic Scholar Leaders at a luncheon at First Lutheran Church of Wilmington on Thursday afternoon.
