Men's Track & Field Individuals Head to Lexington on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Individuals from the Wilmington College men's track & field team are traveling to Lexington, Kentucky, to compete in the University of Kentucky Relays on Saturday.

Cameron Phelps and Cameron Erwin, voted the Fightin' Quakers' Dynamic Duo at the 2018 WESPYs Awards Ceremony held earlier this week, will compete in the 5,000-meter run while Matt Baker will compete in the 1,500-meter run along with Elliot Phillimore in the 400-meter dash and AJ Hightower in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. Pierce Burnam and Aaron Koch will round out the Wilmington contingent in track events by competing in the 400-meter hurdles.

Two Quakers – Kalvin Butts and Alex Tillapaugh – will compete in field events with Butts in the hammer throw and discusand Tillapaugh in the javelin.

Wilmington, which is coming off an eighth-place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships last weekend, will have a weekend off before traveling to the Great Lakes Regional Qualifier hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on May 17.
