Men's Track and Field Competes at Coach Rob Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's outdoor track and field team traveled to Wittenberg University to compete in the 'Coach Rob' Invitational on Friday afternoon. Of the 12 competing teams, Wilmington currently sits in fourth-place with 59 points.

Complete results from the long jump, discus throw, and hammer throw are not yet available; article updates will be made once results are complete.

The 4-x-100-meter relay earned the team's first top-ten finish of the afternoon, consisting of Adam Knaub, Eric Flynn Jr., Pierce Burnam, and AJ Hightower, earning fourth with a time of 43.75.

Burnam then claimed second in both the 110-meter hurdles (15.49) and the 400-meter hurdles (54.08). In the 110-meter hurdles, teammate Aaron Koch also turned in a top-10 finish, earning ninth-place, with a time of 16.52.

Hightower cinched second-place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.20. Another second-place finish for the Fightin' Quakers was earned by Antone Truss in the high jump (1.93 meters). Truss also turned in a third-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 12.55 meters. Kalvin Butts took second in the hammer throw with a heave of 51.14 meters.

Flynn, Koch, Knaub, and Elliott Phillimore joined forces to compete in the 4-x-400-meter relay. The quartet earned seventh-place with a time of 3:37.57.

Joe Holcomb led the way for the Quakers in the throwing events, earning fifth-place in the shot put with a mark of 14.07 meters. Joe Shuga followed closely behind, hitting 12.74 meters, and earning eighth place.

Wilmington will host the Jenna Strong Invitational on Saturday, April 7. Competition is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
