    As he lie in his hospital bed following a single car accident three years ago, Antone Truss faced a realization that ultimately led to him to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
  • Truss, Burnam named Outdoor All-Region

    Two Wilmington College track and field athletes, senior Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) and junior Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond), were amongst the 935 student-athletes nationally to earn all-region distinction.

    Wilmington College junior Antone Truss is headed back to the NCAA Division III Track and Field championships, this time the outdoor championships. He competes 1:30 p.m. Friday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva.

    DELAWARE- Several members of the Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the Great Lakes Elite Meet hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Thursday. This was a non-scored meet, in which participants were attempting to better their national standing in hopes of being able to qualify for the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

    HILLSDALE, Michigan- A few members of the Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Hillsdale College Friday to compete in an unscored Last Chance Meet in hopes of bettering their national rankings to help their chances at qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet.
  • Truss OAC High Jump Champion, Team Seventh

    NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College men’s outdoor track and field team competed in the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet, hosted by Muskingum University, on Saturday. Going into the final day of competition, the Fightin’ Quakers were sitting tenth with three points. At the end of today’s competition and after the final point tallies, WC took seventh-place with a total of 33 points.

    NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College men’s outdoor track and field team opened the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship meet on Friday afternoon. At the conclusion of the day’s scored events the Fightin’ Quakers sit in tenth-place with three points.

    WESTERVILLE- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed in their final meet prior to the championship season, the Twilight Invitational, hosted by Otterbein University, on Friday evening. Of the fourteen competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers clenched seventh-place with a 43 points.

    DELAWARE- The Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the All-Ohio Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday. Both teams finished the championship in 14th place- the women with 14 points and the men with 20 points.

    NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed in an invitational hosted by Muskingum University on Saturday. Of the 8 competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished third with 105 points, only 4 points behind the second-place team.

    HANOVER, Indiana- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed in an invitational hosted by Hanover College on Saturday. Of the 17 competing teams the Fightin’ Quakers finished eighth with 39 points.

    Wilmington College junior Antone Truss has been honored by the Ohio Athletic Conference for his performance this weekend at Transylvania, the league announced today.

    LEXINGTON, Kentucky- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team opened the outdoor portion of their season Saturday at an invitational hosted by Transylvania University. Of the 11 competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished strongly in third, with 121 points.

    NAPERVILLE, Illinois- Wilmington College men’s track and field team member Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) competed in the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Illinois on Saturday.
  • Truss qualifies for NCAA DIII Championship Meet

    WILMINGTON- Wilmington College’s men’s track and field team member Antone Truss (Yellow Springs,OH/Yellow Springs) was selected to compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet, hosted by North Central College on Friday and Saturday in Naperville, Illinois, the NCAA announced Monday, March 6, 2017.

    NEW ORLEANS, LA- Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) and Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs), two of Wilmington College's junior track and field team members were named US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Track and Field All-Region honorees, the association announced on March 6, 2017.
  • @DubC_XCTR competes at final team meet of indoor season

    ADA- The Wilmington College Men’s and Women’s track and field teams travelled to Ohio Northern University Friday and Saturday to compete in a Last Chance Meet. The meet was non-scored, allowing the participants a chance to better their national standing, in an attempt to be chosen for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championship next week. Only four Fightin’ Quakers travelled to the meet, juniors Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown), Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond), Kalvin Butts (St. John’s, MI/St. John’s), and Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs). Of the four, only Truss posted a finish that broke into the NCAA DIII top-ten in his respective event. Because of this, he will likely be the only Fightin’ Quaker to qualify for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championship.

    BEREA- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed in the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday. The event, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University, started on Friday with several field event finals, as well as many running event prelims. Saturday saw the finals of all of Friday’s preliminary events, as well as the finals of all events that were not contested on Friday. The Fightin’ Quakers rallied after a zero point first day to finish the meet seventh of ten teams, with a total of 32 points.
  • Burnam, lone Fightin’ Quaker to qualify for finals

    BEREA- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed in the first of two days of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship on Friday. The event, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University will end Saturday, with the finals of today’s prelim events, as well as the finals of events that have yet to be contested. Of today’s contested events, all field events were final attempts, while all running events, except the 3000-meter run and the Distance Medley Relay, were preliminary attempts. At the conclusion of day one, the Fightin’ Quakers are not yet on the leaderboard, as no athletes broke into the top-eight finishers in any the event finals offered this afternoon.
  • Truss leads way at Mount Union Invite

    ALLIANCE- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed at a Last Chance Meet hosted by the University of Mount Union Saturday. The meet was not scored, allowing athletes one last, non-pressured, attempt at their events prior to Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
  • Truss leads @DubC_XCTR teams at Indoor All-Ohio

    WESTERVILLE- Eight members of the Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the Indoor All-Ohio Championship hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday. The Fightin’ Quakers finished 16th on the women’s side and ninth on the men’s.
  • A record breaking finish for Burnam

    GRANVILLE- Wilmington College's men's track and field team member Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) competed at the All-Ohio Combined Events Championship hosted by Dension University on Saturday and Sunday. Of the offered events, Burnam competed in the heptathlon over the course of the two day meet. His efforts in the seven events placed him second overall, with a total of 4461 points- a new WC school record by 85 points.

    GRANVILLE- Juinor Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) is the lone competitor for the Wilmington College men's track and field team in the All-Ohio Combined Events Championship hosted by Denison University on Saturday and Sunday.

    CEDARVILLE- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team traveled to Cedarville University for an invitational Friday. Out of the six competing teams, the Fightin’ Quakers finished in third with 72 points.
  • Burnam remains on top for @DubC_XCTR

    MARIETTA- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team traveled to Marietta, Friday, to compete in the OAC South Split Meet. Five of the conference’s ten member schools were in attendance at this met: Otterbein University, Capital University, Muskingum University, Marietta College, and the Wilmington Fightin’ Quakers. Of these five teams, Wilmington finished solidly in third place with 108 points.

    DELAWARE- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team competed in an invitational at Otterbein University Saturday. The entire team has not competed together since early December, but despite this, the Fightin’ Quakers saw several high, place finishes. Many athletes advanced to finals, helping the team to finish third out of nine competing teams, with 79 points.
  • Stacy, Burnam represent WC at Oiler Opener

    FINDLAY- Juniors Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown) and Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) of the Wilmington College women's and men's track and field teams competed against a number of Division II and III schools at the Oiler Opener on Friday and Saturday. Over the course of the meet, Burnam set two new school records, while Stacy achieved a personal best that earned her a spot in the national Division III rankings for the season.

    TIFFIN- The Wilmington College men’s track and field team opened their indoor season at the Tiffin Alumni Open on Saturday. This unscored meet allowed the team to compete, not only against fellow NCAA Division III and OAC schools, but also several NCAA Division II schools, and various unattached athletes.
