Arehart, Kincaid earn only victory

CINCINNATI – The duo of Justin Arehart and Josh Kincaid won the lone match of the day for Wilmington as it fell in non-conference action to the College of Mount St. Joseph Monday, 8-1.

Arehart (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) and Kincaid (Loveland, OH/Goshen) were victorious in first doubles, 8-1. Connor LaVelle (Athens, OH/Athens) and Cullen Corcoran (Wilmington, OH/Clinton-Massie) fell in second doubles, 8-4; and Jesse Ingels (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) and Ron Sansone (Norwood, OH/Norwood) lost in third doubles, 8-2.

LaVelle turned in the best solo performance, falling 6-3, 6-3, in second singles. Arehart lost in first singles, 6-0, 6-1; Kincaid competed in third singles, and fell, 6-1, 6-1; Corcoran lost, 6-0, 6-0 in fourth singles; Ingels was defeated, 6-1, 6-1, in fifth singles; and Sansone dropped his sixth singles match, 6-1, 6-2.

Wilmington (1-11) faces Muskingum 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilmington College tennis courts.
