The Kiwanis Club of Wilmington honored several Wilmington College fall student-athletes as Athletic Scholar Leaders at a luncheon at First Lutheran Church of Wilmington on Thursday afternoon.
Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) at the end of the semester preceding the end of the winter season. The student-athlete must also be a member of a varsity team, in a sport sponsored by the league, as well as be enrolled in a full-time capacity.
The Fightin' Quakers finished the meet with 253 total points. John Carroll University claimed the championship with 1,037 points and were followed by Ohio Northern University (671.5), the University of Mount Union (664) and Baldwin Wallace University (383.5).
