DELAWARE, Ohio – Isak Alin highlighted the Wilmington College men's swimming team's performance on day one of the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational by winning the 200-yard breaststroke on Saturday.

Alin's win was one of six events that the Fightin' Quakers posted top-five finishes in. As a team, Wilmington sits in fourth place with 308 points. Host Ohio Wesleyan University, which places second with 563 points, is the top NCAA Division III team after day one.

In the 200-yard breaststroke race, Alin swam a season-best time of 2:08.23 and beat the entire field by nearly 10 seconds. The sophomore also finished runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 58.59 seconds, touching the pad less than half of a second behind OWU's Aman Ngqakayi.

Alin's day wasn't finished, however, as he teamed up with Aaron Polk, Logan Schroer, and Reed Ashcraft for a fourth-place finish (1:42.56) in the 200-yard medley relay and a fifth-place mark (3:26.84) in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Other finishers for the Quakers included Polk swimming a fifth-place time of 2:15.02 in the 200-yard butterfly and Mike Austin taking fifth (2:20.05) in the 200-yard backstroke.

Day two of the invitational gets underway at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
