Men's Swimming Hosts Double Dual Meet Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's swimming team returns home on Saturday to host a double dual meet with Transylvania University and Wittenberg University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington, Transylvania and Wittenberg. The Fightin' Quakers have competed in two dual meets thus far this season, falling to Baldwin Wallace University and Ohio Northern University. The Pioneers fell to Asbury University in a dual meet while the Tigers have competed at the Kenyon College Relays and in a dual meet loss to Ohio Wesleyan University.

The Coaches: Trip Breen is in his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season. Dave Doolin is in his second season as Tranyslvania's swimming head coach while Noah Moran serves as the interim swimming coach at Wittenberg.

Who to Watch: Isak Alin and Frederick Rankin won events in the dual meet at Ohio Northern last weekend. Alin won the 100-yard IM (56.86) while also placing runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly (55.78). He also finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.62. Rankin won the 50-yard breaststroke (28.44). Lawrence Daya placed second in the 50-yard backstroke (27.34) for Wilmington at the ONU dual.
