WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's swimming team heads to the Ocasek Natatorium at the University of Akron on Thursday to begin the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship meet.

The meet will follow the typical championship format with preliminary heats going off at 10 a.m. each day and final heats starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, 6 p.m. on Friday, and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.

In last year's event, the Fightin' Quakers finished fourth and will hope to improve their place of finish this year.

In the lineup, Andrew Stewart sits among the top three seeds in both the 50-yard freestyle (21.24) and the 100-yard freestyle (47.50), as well as the top-five times in the 100-yard backstroke (54.93).

Cody Nash should also play a big role in the meet. He's got the ninth fastest time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.09) and the tenth fastest time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.78). Frederick Rankin is also sitting in the top-fifteen seeds of both breaststroke events.

David Bellus sits thirteenth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.45); Samuel Shanes is fourteenth in the 1650-yard freestyle (11:18.08, 1000-yard time); and Alex Tillapaugh is ranked fifteenth in the 100-yard butterfly (55.23).
