Men's Swimming to Celebrate Seniors at Last Home Meet

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's swimming team will celebrate their senior swimmers and host fellow Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC)  member John Carroll University in their last meet before championship season on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll. This is the first meeting between these teams since their dual meet and OAC Championships last year. In both instances, John Carroll came out substantially ahead of the Fightin' Quakers.

The Coaches: Trip Breen enters his 19th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recent in the 2016-17 season.Mark Fino enters his fifth season as the head coach of the men's and women's swimming and diving program at John Carroll.

Who to Watch: Andrew Stewart dominates the sprint events for the Quakers while Cody Nash holds down the middle-distance events and shares the breaststroke with Frederick Rankin. David Bellus will look to find success in the butterfly events. Lawrence Daya will compete in the backstroke events and along with Alex Tillapaugh, will play an integral role in the relays. John Carroll will swim 28 swimmers to WC's 13 including stroke specialists Jackson Cooper, Jack Garrow, and Mason Beck.
