Adam Maloney enters his third year as an assistant men's soccer coach at Wilmington College for the 2021 spring season.

He assisted Head Coach Alex Van der Sluijs in guiding the Fightin' Quakers to a 9-8-0 campaign in 2018 and a 10-7-2 mark in 2019. Additionally, Maloney mentored Niklas Martensson to one of the best individual offensive performances in the NCAA era (1991-present). In 2019, Wilmington, for the second consecutive year, came one win shy of its first berth in the OAC Tournament since the 2012 campaign.

Maloney came to Wilmington from Carroll High School in Dayton where he served as a varsity assistant coach with the girls' soccer program for the last four seasons. The Patriots advanced to the regional championship game in 2015 as well as making the district finals three times. Prior to that, Maloney spent two years as a varsity girls' assistant coach at Shawnee High School. He was named the MVSSCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2013 after guiding the team to an undefeated league record for the first time in program history.

Before training goalkeepers at GK1 Academy in Ssouthwest Ohio, Maloney spent three seasons (2006-08) in his first stint at Shawnee High School with the boys' varsity program. A goalkeeper at Xavier University from 2003-04, Maloney played for Team Dayton during his prep career and along with Wilmington Head Coach Alex Van der Sluijs, claimed the 2004 State Cup Championship.

Maloney graduated from Wright State University with a degree in organizational leadership in 2008.
